Upcoming Changes Announced at Employee Meeting

An exciting announcement was made during First State Bank’s annual employee meeting held Feb. 21. First State Bank will be launching interactive teller machines (ITMs) that will provide customers extended weekday hours for banking — 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday!

President and COO Chip Blanchard said upcoming changes at First State are being made with the customers’ best interests and convenience in mind, and that ITMs will allow the bank to continue providing the friendly service customers are used to and expect from First State.

Throughout the spring and summer, all five First State Bank branches in Russellville and Ola will replace existing ATMs with ITMs. The replacements will be made over the course of several months, and with plenty of notice, so as not to disrupt customers’ routines.

ITMs are the latest technology in drive-thru banking, and First State is the first bank in the River Valley area to have ITMs. So, First State customers can say they do business with the most innovative bank in the River Valley.

ITMs allow for face-to-face banking with local tellers at all drive-through lanes, letting customers utilize many First State services from the convenience of their car, like cashing a check and making loan payments. And, once up and running, ITMs will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, allowing customers more convenience to bank around their busy schedules.

This summer, an ITM will be placed at First State’s Loan Production Office in Northwest Arkansas.
