This Friday, April 19, the highly-awaited process will begin to replace First State Bank’s ATMs in Russellville and Ola with interactive teller machines, or ITMs.
On Friday, the ATM at the Downtown branch (501 W. Main St. in Russellville) will be removed. Friday will also be the last day for Downtown Drive-Thru services as demolition to the current drive-through building will begin next week. Construction on a new structure to house two ITMs and wider lanes will begin after demolition and is set to take 6-8 weeks. Our Lobby will remain open as well as Drive-Thrus at our other Russellville and Ola locations.
In the meantime, a “Test ITM” has been set up at the Downtown branch to give customers a sneak peek and an opportunity to learn how to use the ITMs. First State Bank associates are available to answer questions about the ITM and demonstrate how to use it.
Also, at First State’s University branch (2002 N. Arkansas Ave., Russellville) an ITM is scheduled to be installed beginning Thursday, April 25. The ATM at the University branch will remain operational until the ITM is fully installed.
Unlike traditional ATMs and drive-throughs with tubes or grainy video feeds, ITMs allow for face-to-face banking with tellers at all drive-through lanes throughout your entire banking process. First State ITM tellers are located right here in the River Valley and provide the friendly service our customers are used to and have come to expect.
Additionally, an ITM lets you utilize more First State Bank services, like cashing a check and making loan payments — with the convenience of not having to leave your car. The ITM also serves as an ATM 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Once both the University and Downtown branch ITMs are up and running, ITM tellers will be available 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturdays. Then, ITMs will be installed at First State’s West (3005 W. Main St., Russellville), Ola (325 W. Pennington, Ola) and East (3103 E. Main St., Russellville) branches.
